We are among the top three private companies importing bananas to Russia
We were awarded gold in the Business Rating "Importer of the Year" nomination. We know everything about importing bananas and how to deliver them to our clients conserving the quality and flavour of this tasty and healthy fruit. We control the quality of the product at all stages - from plantation to the final destination. We import several varieties of bananas, palletized or break bulk.

Varieties and Brands

Cavendish
The most common variety of Cavendish bananas is grown in Ecuador, has a bright aroma and taste, tolerates transportation and storage well.
Cavendish organic
completely organic product grown on plantations where any chemical fertilizers are prohibited. Fertilized with natural ingredients, and weeding is done by hand.

Orito - mini bananas
differ primarily in size. The largest specimens do not exceed 10-12 cm. In addition to their size, they are distinguished by a thinner skin and a delicious aroma.
red bananas
the original variety is smaller compared to classic bananas, but has a richer sweet taste. Due to the high content of beta-carotene, the peel is such a red or burgundy color, and the fruit is slightly darker.

Bananas

Bananas (Musa paradisiaca) are the world's best-selling fruit. Bananas belong to the genus of perennial herbaceous plants of the banana family. Bananas are one of the oldest cultivated plants and are the fourth largest cultivated crop in the world. In total, there are over 40 types of bananas, forming about 500 different varieties (however, most of them are little cultivated).
Bananas are harvested unripe and they ripen in warehouses before distribution to the final clients. Bananas are delivered to Russia by sea by refrigerated ships, the refrigeration allows keeping fruits in a state of “removable” maturity during the entire period of transportation. The fruit is packed in a banavac package, which allows you to save all the useful properties of the fruit during transportation and ensure the maximum shelf life due to the modified gas environment.
Ripen banana pulp acquires high nutritional and taste qualities which are so appreciated by consumers. The quality of ripe bananas is largely determined by the ability to store green and yellow bananas properly, as well as to ripen them according to the standards required within the planned time frame. Our company has many years of experience and knowledge of the main factors affecting the vital activity of these fruits, and also has the necessary technical base, which guarantees a stable high quality of the products we supply. Our ripening complex counts 42 modern cameras and is one of the biggest in the Russian Federation.
The main factors that are crucial for the life of bananas:
  • ambient temperature;
  • relative humidity;
  • composition of the surrounding gaseous medium;
  • air circulation during storage and ripening.
When working with bananas, as a rule, two interrelated temperatures are controlled: the ambient temperature and the temperature of the pulp of the banana. We use the 3rd generation gassing chambers, where the pallets are arranged in long, high rows, and along them there is a row of air coolers. Gas circulation above the rows is prevented by a flexible inflatable barrier. The control is fully automated, the temperature variation is no more than 0.5 °C. The parameters of the banana ripening process are set by the PROBA 110 microprocessor control system, which is installed on each chamber. Monitoring and dispatching of the banana ripening process is carried out through the Proba 120 microprocessor. The ethylene concentration sensor allows you to control the gas composition of the air. Pulp sensors allow you to measure the temperature of the banana pulp (6 sensors per chamber). Air temperature sensors measure the temperature in the gassing chamber. An ethylene bottle station is used to produce "banana gas"
